Our Story
How it all began...
Spiritan International Girls' Secondary School was established by Missionary Sisters of the Holy Ghost with the aim to provide holistic education for the girl-child who is often marginalized in the society. It is a faith based school that fosters academic excellence, personal development and sound character formation to enable candidates to be fully integrated, vigorous responsible, successful women and good witnesses of the Christian faith. The school is located at Sabon Lugbe east, the suburb area of Abuja. The School started on 13th September 2012 with three Spiritan Sisters, six teaching staff, eight non-teaching staff and forty-nine students. The school was inaugurated on the feast of IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY, 8th June, 2013 by His Eminence John Cardinal Onaiyaken, the Archbishop of Abuja. The Management of the school is student centered and provides what can facilitate learning and make the students achieve excellence in all aspect of their formation and career education. The Institute is committed to the integral formation of women who will take a prophetic stance in every sphere of life, be relevant to the society and a beacon for others.
